Vehicle Violation – No Driver’s License Issued – Cited

While on patrol, an officer observed a driver talking on her cell phone. The officer conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that she was never issued a driver’s license. The driver also did not notify DMV of her change of address within the allotted 10 days. The driver was cited.

An officer was conducting LIDAR speed enforcement and observed a vehicle traveling 51 mph in a 35 mph zone. The officer conducted a traffic stop and a computer check revealed that he was never issue a driver’s license.  The driver was cited.

Arson of a Vehicle

Officers responded to a report of a vehicle on fire. A witness had flagged SFFD down and reported that he saw a suspect set a vehicle on fire. Upon arrival, SFFD had already arrived and contained the fire. SFFD arson unit will investigate the incident.

Warrant Arrest – Arrested

Officers observed a person lying on sidewalk and made contact to see if he needed medical attention. A computer check on the person revealed that he had a warrant out of Marin County. The person was arrested.

Attempted Burglary – Cited

2200 24th Ave
An officer was on patrol and stopped at a stop sign when he observed three juvenile suspects grouped together in front of a house who were looking around suspiciously.  The officer then heard three to four loud bangs and two suspects suddenly erupted from the area of the front door and joined the other three suspects before all five of the suspects started running down the street towards the park. The victim came out of the house and told the officer that the suspects were trying to break into the house. The victim told the officers that he was lying on his couch, watching tv when he heard some voices and the banging. The victim opened the door and the suspects took off running. Multiple officers responded and located all five of the suspects. After investigating, all five juveniles were transported to the Community Assessment and referral Center where they will be cited.

Robbery – Arrested

A Sergeant was flagged down by two victims who were involved in a robbery. Officers arrived on scene and the victim told the offices that they were walking down the street when a vehicle pulled up next to them. Three suspects exited the vehicle while one of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim and demanded the victim’s property. The suspect told the victims to drop their purse and run. Several officers searched, located the suspects in the area and recovered the gun that was used in the reported robbery. A further search revealed the stolen property, which was still in the vehicle. It was later determined that the suspects had also committed three other robberies that night in San Francisco. The suspects were arrested.
