Public Nuisance – Warrant Arrest – Arrested

Judah St & 11th Ave
Officers observed the suspect lying on a sidewalk while being enclosed by multiple shopping carts and bags. The suspect, with a known history of being public nuisance the last several months, had been advised and offered assistance multiple times in the past but rejected any help. A computer check on the suspect revealed several warrants for her arrest. The suspect was arrested.

Possession of Stolen Vehicle – Burglary Tools – False Personating – Cited

Officers observed a vehicle with two suspects suspiciously loitering around a vehicle. The officers conducted a computer check on the vehicle and determined that it had been stolen from Santa Rosa. Officers detained the suspects without incident and were told by one suspect that she had found the vehicle abandoned and thought she could live in it. However, after officers located a burglary tool commonly used to open and start certain cars, the suspect admitted to also being in the process of changing ownership of the vehicle. Both suspects were cited.

Officers observed a vehicle failing to make a complete stop behind the line. Officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that his license had been suspended. The driver was cited.

Vehicle Violation – No Driver’s License Issue – Cited

46th Ave & Judah St
Officers observed a suspicious vehicle and conducted a computer check which revealed that the vehicle had not been registered since 2014 while displaying a current, 2016, registration sticker. Officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that he was never issued a driver’s license. The driver was cited.

Broad St & Capitol Ave
Officers observed a vehicle with no front plates and an expired registration. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver which revealed that he did not have a driver’s license. The driver was cited.

Battery
12:01 pm
1700 10th Ave
An officer responded to a report of a battery. The victim reported that he had just moved in and parked his vehicle with his front bumper slightly in the suspect’s driveway. The suspect angrily came out of his house and started yelling at the victim. The victim said that at one point during the argument, the suspect gave the victim a body bump before walking to his vehicle and driving away. While the officer was still speaking to the victim, the suspect returned home. With the officer mediating the situation, both parties apologized and the victim did not want to press charges.

Theft – Battery

Officers responded to a report of a theft. The victim, an employee, saw the suspect walk in and squat down next to the candy isle. The victim walked towards the suspect but the suspect started throwing candy at her. The suspect then stole several before walking out of the store.

Assault with a knife

400 Winston Dr
Officers responded to a report of a victim who was stabbed. Responding officers located the victim, who appeared to be highly intoxicated.  The victim reported that he had been at a bar the night before and met people who invited him back to their place and they continued to drink the rest of the night. When the victim left, a suspect suddenly appeared and began stabbing and slashing at him. Medics attempted to evaluate the suspect and treat his injuries but the victim refused to cooperative with both the attending officers and medics. Once at the hospital, the victim also attempted to walk out of the hospital multiple times despite being urged not to.

Taraval St & 47th Ave
A witness reported observing a suspect sitting in a vehicle with a gun. SIT sergeants investigated the incident and obtained the identity of the suspect while officers and a sergeant conducted surveillance and located the suspect. Once detained, officers located a loaded firearm tucked into the suspect’s waistband. A search warrant was obtained and a search of the suspect’s house located ammunition and items may have been connected to the sales of narcotics. The suspect was arrested.
