Driving With A Suspended License – Cited

Officers were driving out on patrol and observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way on a round-a-bout. The officer effected a traffic stop on the vehicle. The officers ran a computer check on the driver and it revealed that the driver had a suspended license. The man was cited in violation of the California Vehicle Code.

Burglary – Forced Entry

Officers were dispatched to the scene regarding a burglary incident. Upon their arrival they were met a woman who stated that her bicycle was stolen out of her garage. She locked and secured her bicycle on the wall and upon returning in the morning she noticed the lock cut and the bicycle missing. The woman told her neighbor about the incident and he stated that the front gate lock seemed to have been tampered with.

Malicious Mischief – Breaking Windows

A man came to Taraval Station to report than an unknown suspect broke the window on his backyard door. The man stated he left his property in good condition and upon returning to his home he noticed that glass panel on his backyard door was broken.

An officer responded to a call regarding vandalism to a vehicle. Upon arriving at the scene the officer was met by a man who stated that someone egged his vehicle. The man also stated that this is the second time this has happened and he has also found notes on his vehicle.

Residential Burglary – Forced Entry

100 Denslowe Drive

An officer responded to the scene regarding a burglary. Upon arriving at the scene the officer was met by a woman who stated that her home was under construction and burglarized. The woman received a phone call from one of the construction workers stating that an unknown suspect had entered the home and stole their work tools.

Theft – Shoplifting

Officers responded to the scene regarding a theft incident. Upon their arrival the officers were met by a store employee who stated that two suspects stole an item that was on display. The employee went to take an inventory of the items on display and discovered it missing. The suspects were caught taking the item on CCTV.
Suspect 1: Black female, between the ages of 20 – 30 years old, 5’10”, 220 lbs, black hair, LSW: Purple shirt with green lettering, black pants, and black/white shoulder bag
Suspect 2: Black female, between the ages of 20 – 30 years old, 5’9”, 150 lbs, black hair, LSW: White headband, denim jacket, white shirt, black pants and pink shoulder bag

Theft from Unlocked Vehicle – Possession With Knowledge of Stolen Property – Arrest

Officers responded to the scene regarding an auto burglary. Dispatch broadcasted the suspect’s description and another responding unit responded that they had the suspect located. Upon the officers arrival at the scene they were met by a man who stated that he noticed suspicious activity happening in his neighbor’s vehicle. The suspect told the man that it was his car and walked off. The man thought the situation was suspicious so he decided to look inside the vehicle and noticed that the glove compartment and center console were open and all the contents all over the floor. The man made contact with the person who owned the vehicle and she told the man that she did not leave all the contents of the compartments on the floor. The officer asked the man if he would agree to a cold show of the suspect and he agreed. The suspect was confirmed to be the one going through the vehicle. The suspect had a GPS device on his person which belonged to the woman. The suspect was arrested and booked at Taraval Station.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2013

Residential Burglary – Forced Entry

120 Stratford Drive

Officers responded to the scene regarding a burglary. Upon arriving at the scene the officers were met by a man who stated that he left the home locked and secured before leaving the construction site for the day. The next morning one of the construction workers arrived to work and discovered several tools were missing from the home. The front door was pried open and light bulbs that turn on when people are around the senor were unscrewed.

Theft – Shoplifting – Arrest

Officers in full uniform and driving a marked patrol vehicle responded to a call regarding a citizen’s arrest. Upon arriving at the scene the officers were met by a loss prevention officer who stated that he observed an unknown male suspect enter the store with a backpack and tan shopping bag heading to the men’s shoe department. The loss prevention officer saw the suspect try a pair of shoes on then take them off and put them into his shopping bag. The suspect then walked past all open registers without making an attempt to pay for the shoes and exited the store. The loss prevention officer stopped the man outside and identified himself as a loss prevention agent. The loss prevention agent escorted the suspect back into the store and contacted the police. The police arrived and took custody of the man and had the loss prevention officer sign a citizen’s arrest form. The suspect was cited and released.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2013

Aggravated Assault with Force

Officers responded to the scene regarding an assault. Upon their arrival the officers were met by a woman who stated that she had just been attacked by a Hispanic male suspect. The woman was walking home from her friend’s house when she turned around and noticed a car driving slowly behind her. The suspect asked the woman to get into his car. The woman got scared and threw a cup of juice at the man which hit him. The woman tried to run but was tripped by the man. He then kicked her on the side of the head and punched her multiple times. An unknown person saw what was happening and yelled at the suspect and ran towards the woman. The suspect got back into his vehicle and fled the scene.

Officers were dispatched to the scene regarding a broken window. Upon their arrival the officers were met by a man who stated that an unknown person threw a rock through his living room window. The man left his home in the morning and upon returning to the home he discovered shattered glass by the living room window and as well a rock the size of a baseball.

An officer in full uniform and driving a marked police vehicle responded to the scene regarding a vehicle that had been broken into. Upon arriving at the scene the officers were met by a woman who stated that she left her vehicle locked and secured. Upon returning to her vehicle she discovered that the front passenger side window had been smashed and her purse was missing. The woman got an alert on her cell phone that her credit card was being used at a department store.

A woman came to Taraval Station to report that her vehicle had been broken into. The woman stated that she parked and locked her vehicle and upon returning she discovered that an unknown suspect had smashed the right front passenger window. The suspect stole her purse which contained her wallet. The woman contacted the bank to report the credit card stolen but the unknown suspect had already tried to use the credit card at a department store.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2013

Malicious Mischief – Vandalism To Property

Officers in full police uniform and driving a marked police vehicle responded to the scene regarding a vandalism report. Upon their arrival they were met by a woman who stated that she was informed by her housekeeper that she heard a loud bang on the garage door. When the housekeeper went to see what happened she discovered a hole in the garage door.

Officers responded to the scene regarding vandalism to a vehicle. Upon arriving to the scene the officers were met by a man who stated that he left his undamaged vehicle in a parking garage and returned days later to find damages to the vehicle. The man stated that he does not know who caused the damages and that there were no witnesses. He also stated that there are two video cameras in the garage that might have captured the incident.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2013

Theft – Shoplifting – Arrest

1500 Sloat Boulevard

Officers were dispatched to the scene regarding a shoplifting incident. Upon their arrival the officers were met by a loss prevention officer who had the suspect in custody. The loss prevention officer stated that the suspect entered the store with a shopping cart with a black backpack inside of the cart. He observed the suspect walk throughout the store and place different items off the shelf and put them into his shopping cart. The suspect then went into the middle of an aisle and placed the items inside of his backpack. The suspect then walked with the backpack passed open and manned cash registers. The loss prevention officer met the suspect outside and identified himself as a loss prevention officer. The suspect was escorted back into the loss prevention office and the police were contacted. When officers arrived on scene they arrested the suspect and he was booked at Taraval Station.
