Battery – Violation of Restraining Order

Officers responded to a report of an assault. The victim reported that she went outside to throw some garbage out when she noticed that the suspect, her son, was outside her home. The victim stated that her son wanted a place to stay but she told him that he was not welcome and that he should leave. This caused an argument and the suspect punched the victim on her face before fleeing the scene. A computer check confirmed that there was already a restraining order in effect protecting the victim from the suspect.

Officers received information from Novato Police and a request to locate and detain a person of interest. A computer check on the person revealed that the suspect had a warrant for his arrest and responding officers located the suspect. Novato Police responded to Taraval Station and took custody of the person.

Assault

Officers responded to a report of a domestic assault. The victim was observed with mild redness on the left side of her jaw and complained of pain in her lower jaw. The victim reported that the suspect, her boyfriend, had punched her under the jaw with an uppercut after a verbal altercation regarding a family matter. The victim also stated that the suspect was asked to leave several times which was met with negative results but eventually the suspect fled the scene after the argument and assault. 

Traffic Violation – Warrant – Arrested

19th Ave & Sloat Blvd
Officers received multiple reports of riders using off road dirt motorbikes riding in an unsafe manner and running red lights. Responding officers observed multiple persons riding south on 19th Ave on off road and followed the riders. However, the riders noticed the officers behind them and purposely ran the next red light, knowing that the officers could not follow after them due to the heavy traffic.  The officers continued to follow them but after the riders ran a second red light, one of the motor bikes slowed down and stopped while the rest continued onwards. Contact was made with the rider and a computer check revealed that he had a warrant for his arrest, that his driver’s license was suspended as well as never being issued a motorcycle license.  The rider was arrested.

Officers were on patrol and actively looking for a suspect with a warrant for his arrest. The officers  located the suspect after a search and apprehended the suspect without incident. The suspect was arrested.

Vicente At & 19th Ave
A sergeant was conducting speed enforcement on 19th Ave when he observed a vehicle traveling 55 mph in a 30 mph section. The sergeant conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed he had a warrant for his arrest. The driver was arrested for the warrant.

Officers responded a possible vehicle break in. At the location, a witness was following the suspect and pointed the suspect out for the responding officers. The suspect was detained without incident but immediately stated that he did not take anything from the vehicle. However, the witness stated that he saw the suspect walk up to the vehicle and opened the unlocked door before looking around the inside of the vehicle. The witness reported that yelled out and the suspect became startled and quickly exited the vehicle. Officers attempted the contact the owner of  the vehicle in question but it had already left the scene. A computer check on the suspect revealed that he had a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested.
