Warrant Arrest – Arrested

Wawona St & 42nd Ave
Officers responded to a report of a possible vehicle break in. The caller, who wanted to remain anonymous, reported seeing a vehicle with broken glass and a suspect in the back seat. Responding officers located the vehicle and the suspect and were told that the vehicle was a friend’s who had left the keys in a bar. The suspect had to break the vehicle’s window so he could get inside and have a place to sleep. A computer check revealed that the vehicle was a rental. A computer check on the suspect revealed that he had a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to a report by a passenger in a vehicle in which the driver, an acquaintance, was driving recklessly and refusing to let them exit the vehicle.  Responding officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. A computer check on the driver revealed that his license was suspended. The passengers reported that the suspect had picked them up but they soon had an argument due to a difference in opinions. The suspect then began to drive recklessly and refused to stop or let the passengers exit the vehicle. The driver was cited and the passengers did not wish to press charges. 

Assault – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a couple fighting. The victim reported that she had just arrived at a club after spending the night at a relative’s house. The victim approached the suspect and tried to greet him with a hug but the suspect bit her hand before walking away. When the suspect did not return, the victim decided to leave the club and go home. While exiting the club, the suspect pushed the victim and punched her several times. The suspect responded that they were drinking when the victim suddenly grabbed at his necklace, yanked it off and ripping his shirt in the process. The suspect then pushed the victim away and she fell to the floor. After further investigation and statements from the witness, the suspect was arrested.
