Sergeant Kevin Mannix, who has been a sergeant assisting Captain Flaherty, expressed a desire to be back on the streets and help patrol our district again before retiring. Officer Fred Kwan will be taking over some of Sergeant Mannix’s responsibilities.
While Sergeant Mannix has had a long history of being an integral part of the Captain’s Staff, he has also worked closely in various tasks within our community. Not only has Sergeant Mannix assisted Captain Sanford, Captain Lum and Captain Flaherty, he has also worked closely with our city’s supervisors, public officers and the whole Taraval district by assisting, organizing and coordinating many of our neighborhood’s past outings and events.
