Traffic Violation – Cited

Chester Ave & Randolph St
Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle with a malfunctioning brake light. Officers conducted a traffic stop while the vehicle continued to drive off. Officers then observed the vehicle drive past a stop sign, U-turn, and parallel park. Officers approached the vehicle as the suspect swung open the door and began yelling profanities at officers. While refusing to corporate with officers, the suspect attempted to reach for something despite being asked to keep his hands visible. Fearful of danger, the officers removed the suspect from the vehicle and placed him in handcuffs. The suspect was cited.

Robbery

Officers responded to a report regarding a possible robbery incident. Responding officers spoke with the victim, who displayed multiple injuries, and were told that the victim was intoxicated the previous night when he was struck from behind and lost consciousness. When he awoke, the victim reported that there was $150 missing from his pockets. The victim stated he did not make a report to the police and he was feeling drunk from drinking earlier in the morning.

Officers responded to a report regarding battery. Responding officers spoke with the victim who reported she was dining with her friend when she observed an unknown female glaring at her from a booth. The victim stated that the suspect then told her she was speaking too loudly. The victim attempted to locate a worker to relocate their seat but the suspect then confronted the victim while yelling obscenities before slapping the victim on the cheek. The suspect fled the scene.

Domestic Violence

Officers responded to a report regarding domestic violence. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim who stated he wanted to document a domestic violence incident between himself and his wife. The victim stated his wife suspected him of cheating and attempted to check the messages on his phone. The victim refused to give her the phone and his wife bit him on his lower back and tackled him.
