Theft from a Building – Cited

600 Irving St
Officers responded to a report of a theft from a gym; the victim was tracking her phone that was stolen off a cubby shelf while she was working out. Responding officers spoke to the victim and a witness, who reported that they observed the suspect standing outside before walking inside to where the cubby shelf was located and exiting the location directly afterwards.  The witness followed the suspect and directed the officers to the suspect’s location. Officers located and recovered the stolen cell phone and the suspect cited.

Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim, a pregnant female, reported that she was lying in bed with the suspect while they were having an argument. As the argument escalated, the suspect became angry and grabbed the victim’s shoulder and pushed her down against the bed before leaving the location.

44th Ave & Taraval St
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle striking a fire hydrant. Responding officers spoke to a witness who reported that the suspect had exited the vehicle and started walking away from the scene. While speaking with the witness, there was a verbal altercation a few feet away and officers observed the suspect speaking rapidly while appearing agitated with rapid eye movements. Officers attempted to detain the suspect but the suspect refused to comply with orders. During a brief struggle to place restraints on the suspect, a methamphetamine pipe fell out of the suspect’s pockets. Once detained, the suspect was confirmed by the witness as the one who drove into the fire hydrant. The suspect was cited and released to the medics for treatment and observation.
