Traffic Violation – Cited

Lake Merced Blvd & Winston Dr
Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle without license plates and without registration tabs. A traffic stop was conducted and a records check on the driver revealed that her license was suspended. The driver admitted that she knew she was not supposed to drive but she needed to give her child a ride to school. The driver was cited.

Assault – Arrested

Officers responded to a report regarding an assault. Responding officers spoke with the victim who reported that she was almost punched by the suspect. The victim stated the suspect was yelling while walking down the street towards her. When the suspect got close enough to the victim, the suspect attempted to punch her and swung at her face. However, the victim was able to move out of the way in time to avoid being struck. Further investigation revealed that the suspect had previously attacked a worker from Starbucks and also had a restraining order against him from a bank. The suspect was arrested.

Driving Under the Influence – Arrested

Officers responded to a report regarding a drunk driver. Officers located and observed the vehicle failing to stop at a stop sign. When the officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, the vehicle began driving at a high rate of speed and drove past several more stop signs without stopping at them. Once the officers successfully conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, they encountered a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle and observed the suspect presenting with symptoms of slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. Officers conduct tests to determine if the driver was driving under the influence which resulted in a poor performance; a positive indication of intoxication. The suspect was arrested.

Officers were on duty at Taraval Police Station when the victim stepped in to report that she had been receiving threatening phone calls from the suspect. The victim stated the suspect will call her cellphone for no apparent reason and threatens to beat her up. The victim also reported that the suspect carries a loaded weapon and that an emergency protective order had been issued against the suspect for the victim.
