Battery

100 Lobos St
Officers responded to a report of  a male, with a known history of mental illness, arguing with his family members. Responding officers spoke with the victim who stated that he was preparing food next to their stove when the suspect began yelling at the victim and threw a wireless telephone, from across the room, at the victim. The victim was able to deflect the thrown telephone but it caused a wrist injury. The suspect was transported and admitted to a UCSF hospital for medical treatment.

Arch St & Randolph St
Officers responded to a report of a male being strangled by a relative. Responding officers spoke with the victim, who stated that he had an argument with the suspect earlier. When the victim turned to speak to another person, the suspect walked behind him and grabbed his neck to strangle him. The suspect then released the victim and walked away from the scene. 

Threats

Officers were on duty at Central Police Station and took a report of threats from the victim. The victim stated that the suspect, an ex boyfriend, was harassing her in multiple ways and that she was fearful for her and her daughter’s continued safety. While at work, the victim began to receive phone calls regarding their recent break up from the suspect. At home, the suspect would knock on the victim’s door and refuse to leave until the victim announced she would contact the police. On social media, the suspect posted that he brought a gun and told the victim that he “would get her”.  The victim also stated that the suspect had threatened that he wanted “to make sure you have an uncomfortable life” to her. An emergency protective order was administered for the victim.

Sloat Blvd & 45th Ave
Officers were on duty at Taraval Police Station when the victim came in to report a battery and signed a citizen’s arrest form on the suspect. The victim, a construction laborer, stated that he was accused by the suspect of “staring him down” earlier in the day. This resulted in an altercation between the suspect and victim; the victim was punched twice on the cheek.

1100 Capitol Ave
Officers responded to a burglary report. Responding officers met with the victim, who stated he was in school when his roommate texted him that his room had been burglarized and he needed to come home immediately. Once home, the victim observed that the door to his bedroom had been damaged and that his money, stored in a shoebox, had been stolen. When questioned, the roommate stated that she heard the doorbell ring and there were two males outside. Believing that one of the males was another roommate who had forgotten his keys, she opened the door and was threatened with a handgun. The suspects immediately entered the victim’s room, rummaged in the closet for the hidden money and fled the location after stealing it.

Officers responded to a report regarding threats. Responding officers spoke with the victim, who stated that he and his girlfriend were threatened with their lives by the suspect. The victim stated that the suspect may have had an argument with the downstairs resident and that the police had come by to do a welfare check afterwards. The suspect became irate and angrily threatened to rape and kill the victim’s girlfriend. Officers conducted a search of the suspect’s residence and located multiple firearms in his possession. The suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to a report regarding a fight. Responding officers spoke with the victim who reported that he was home and heard loud banging noises from one of the neighbors. The victim did not want the noise to wake up his family so he questioned next door and then downstairs in a search for the source. After knocking on the downstair’s door, the suspect opened the door and immediately began yelling at the victim. At this point, the victim’s wife also came downstairs and they were both assaulted by the suspect. The victim stated that they attempted to escape the premises but the suspect pulled him back into the apartment. Eventually, neighbors intervened and separated the fight before the officers arrived. Both parties were cited, released, and advised not to speak to each other to avoid future incidents.

Officers responded to a domestic violence report. Responding officers spoke with the victim, who stated she wanted the suspect to help her move items from her car into their apartment but he refused to help her. Later, while the suspect was sleeping, the victim poured water all over his face. This caused the suspect to grab her by her hair and shirt before throwing her to the ground. The victim stood up and while attempting to defend herself, the suspect threw her to the ground a second time before punching her in the ribcage area. The suspect was arrested.
