Homicide
7:06 pm
Broad St & Plymouth Ave
Officers responded to a report of multiple shots being fired. Responding officers spoke to one of the victims, who stated that they were standing near the street corner and watching the ball game when he heard numerous gunshots. The suspect attempted to seek cover but was shot once on his ankle. A second victim, who was deceased, was also located. The suspects were reported to have fled the location in a vehicle. 

Breaking Windows

John Muir Dr & Skyline Blvd
Officers responded to a report windows being broken by a suspect. Responding officers spoke to the victim who reported that he was inside his mobile home when the suspect broke his window. The victim followed the suspect but lost him. Officers searched and located the suspect, who appeared intoxicated and was standing in a creek. The victim confirmed that the officers detained the correct suspect as the one who had caused damage to his property but declined to press charges. The suspect was identified and released.

Robbery of a Store

1800 Ocean Ave
Officers responded to a report of a person with a knife. The victim, the store manager, reported that she observed the suspect enter the store and grabbed an empty backpack from the store shelf before putting other items into the backpack. The victim approached the suspect and told her to drop the items and leave the store but the suspect produced a knife and threatened the victim before fleeing the store.

Assault – Vehicle Burglary – Arrested

3800 Alemany Blvd
Officers responded to a report of a suspect breaking into a vehicle while carrying a knife. Responding officers spoke with the victim who reported that he observed the suspect in his vehicle, which was parked at his home. The victim told the suspect get out but the suspect produced a knife. Fearful, the victim backed away and fell after tripping while the suspect advanced toward him still holding the knife.  The victim’s son struck the suspect with a bat which caused the suspect to flee. Officers searched and located the suspect and a search revealed both the knife and multiple items which belonged to the victim. The suspect was arrested.

Battery

Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim arrived at the suspect’s home to collect her belongings but an argument ensued and the suspect threw the victim’s items outside and on to the sidewalk. The victim stated that the suspect also grabbed one of the boxes and used it to push her. The suspect confirmed throwing the victim’s items outside after the argument but denied pushing the victim. After speaking to a witness and further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
