Warrant Arrest

2200 37th Ave
Officers responded to a report of a possible suicide attempt. Responding officers arrived at the location but determined that the suspect was not suicidal but rather did not want his mother inside the bathroom at the same time he was. A computer check also revealed that the suspect had a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested.

Vehicle Violation – Driving with no License – Cited

Lobos St & Minerva St
Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle fail to make a complete stop at a intersection with a stop sign. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that he did not have a driver’s license issued to him but he also had a history of driving without a license. The suspect was again cited for driving without a license.

Homicide

Head St and Shields St
(Limited information on this incident is due to an ongoing investigation.) Officers responded to a report of gun shots being fired. Responding officers arrived on scene and located a victim from gunshot wounds on the ground. 

Threats

Taraval St & 26th Ave
Officers responded to a report of threats. Responding officers spoke to the victim who reported that she had to suddenly brake very hard to avoid hitting a child that had suddenly doubled back after crossing an intersection half way. The victim stated that the suspect, the father of the child, went up to the vehicle and started yelling and calling the victim names. The victim retorted that the suspect should have watched his child better; the argument escalated and the suspect demanded that the victim get out of the car and threatened that he had a gun. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

Vehicle Tampering – Battery

Officers responded to a report of fight. Responding officers spoke with the victim who reported that he exited his house and observed a suspect rummaging around his vehicle. The victim told the suspect to sit down while he checked is vehicle for missing items. However, another vehicle drove up and under the pretense of asking the victim a question, a second suspect exited the vehicle and threatened to hit the victim. The first suspect punched the victim and ran into the waiting vehicle before it fled the location. 

Stolen Vehicle – Possession of Stolen Property – Arrested

1200 Kirkham St
Officers responded to a report of two suspects, who had arrived on a small scooter, were now suspiciously walking around for over thirty minutes. Responding officers detained the suspects and were given false information when they questioned the suspects. After identifying the suspects, it was revealed that one had a warrant for his arrest and that the scooter they arrived on was reported stolen. Both suspects were arrested.

Assault – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of assault. Responding officers spoke to the victim who reported that he was beaten up by the suspect, who was roommate at the group home he was staying at. The victim stated that the suspect attempted to burn him with a lighter and when the victim attempted to leave the area, the suspect grabbed at him and ripped his shirt before trying to punch the victim. Officers searched and located the suspect, who denied hitting the victim. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
