Shoplifting – Warrant Arrest – Arrested

100 West Portal Ave
Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. Officers located the suspect matching the description given by dispatch. The witness reported that the suspect had a history of shoplifting and was observed on three different occasions to have exited the store without paying for merchandise. Upon questioning, the suspect refused to provide his identity to the officers and was transported to Taraval Station to be fingerprinted and identified.  A computer check on the suspect revealed that he had a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested.

Vandalism to Bus – Cited

19th Ave & Quintara St
Officers responded to a report of vandalism. Responding officer spoke to the victim, a MUNI bus driver, and were told that the driver had just dropped off a passenger and closed the door when he did not see anybody else that wanted to board the bus. However, a suspect suddenly started to bang on the door with enough force to cause the glass to shatter. The suspect was cited.

Battery – Cited

1400 17th Ave
An officer was flagged down by a victim regarding a battery. Responding officers spoke to the victim who reported that he had just left his house while wearing an cap and shirt with the Eagles team logo on them when a group started arguing with him about the team and football. Suddenly, one of the group punched the victim on his face. Officers searched and located the suspect who responded that the victim was the instigator instead. After further investigation and an interview with a witness, the suspect was cited.

Robbery

3200 20th Ave
Officers responded to a report of a robbery. Responding officers spoke with the victim who reported that he was seated at a table with his hand resting on his cell phone, which was placed on top of the table. A suspect suddenly walked by and forcibly took the phone from the victim’s grasp before fleeing.
