Warrant Arrest – Narcotics Paraphernalia – False Identification – Arrested

Officers were on patrol and observed a suspect standing in front of the entrance to an abandoned and boarded up building, a location with a history of squatting and trespassing reports. Officers approached the suspect who began acting suspiciously immediately and was observed to be sweating profusely. When questioned, the suspect admitted to smoking illegal drugs and a search revealed a pipe that is commonly used in smoking methamphetamine. Despite being initially given a false name, the suspect’s true identity was confirmed and a computer check revealed that the suspect had a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested.

Battery of a Police Officer – Resisting Arrest – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a mental health evaluation. Responding officers arrived and were told that the suspect was acting erratically and breaking objects, which scared the witness. As the officers were speaking to the witness, the suspect appeared and immediately tried to walk away, towards a business that was close by. The officers gave chase and attempted to restrain the suspect but the suspect resisted and pushed at the officers. Additional officers arrived to assist and the suspect was successfully handcuffed. A search revealed a costume sword that was concealed on the suspect’s body. After further investigation, the suspect was later cited released to the hospital.

Trespassing – Vandalism – Cited

Officers responded to a report of broken property and trespassing. The witness, a security officer, told the officers that he responded to the address of vandalism and observed three suspects crouched underneath a broken window. When the witness confronted the suspects, they fled.  Responding officers searched and detained two suspects matching the given description. Upon questioning, the suspects responded that they were from the East Bay and were supposed to stay at their father’s place. However, they were unable to enter the residence and that a stranger advised them to break a window and stay in the empty apartment instead. The suspects denied that they broke a window.  After further investigation, the suspects was cited for trespassing.

Officers responded to a report of battery. Responding officers spoke to the victim, who reported that she and the suspect got into an argument because their son was sick and were frustrated because because neither of them had gotten enough sleep. The victim was attempting to text her sister when the suspect grabbed her arm and refused to release her despite her requests that he do so. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
