Shoplifting – Arrested

200 Winston Dr

Officers responded to a report regarding a suspect detained for shoplifting. Responding officers met with the store’s loss prevention agents who reported that they observed the suspect remove a jacket and hat from the merchandise racks and proceed to exit the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. The agents made contact with the suspect outside of the store, handcuffed and detained him. Officers ran a records check on the suspect which revealed that the suspect was on probation. The suspect was arrested.

00 Holloway Ave

Officers responded to a report regarding a citizen trapping a person they had just observed breaking into a vehicle. Responding officers arrived and observed a person, the witness, blocking the driver’s side door of a vehicle. The witness reported that she was standing in front of house when she recognized the suspect, who was sitting in the driver’s seat of the victim’s vehicle, from a previous auto burglary where the suspect was captured on video trying to break into her car. The witness then physically blocked the driver’s door to prevent the suspect from escaping. The victim stated that she was the registered owner of the vehicle and she had left the doors unlocked while she was inside her house. Officers cited the suspect for trespassing.

Restraining Order

Officers responded to a report regarding a restraining order violation. Responding officers spoke with the victim, who reported that her ex-boyfriend was texting her to meet him outside of her apartment building. The victim stated that she had an active restraining order against contact from the suspect and that there had been two previous incidents of domestic violence involving the suspect. Officers were unsuccessful in locating the suspect after a search. 

Assault

Officers responded to a report regarding an assault. Responding officers spoke with the victim who reported that he was walking down his driveway when he heard the suspect yelling at him from the sidewalk before approaching the victim and attacking him. A witness, the victim’s neighbor, observed the assault and yelled at the suspect until the suspect fled. The victim stated that he recognized the suspect, who had a history of stalking his daughter. The victim was transported to the hospital.

Violation of Stay Away Order

200 Minerva St
Officers responded to a report regarding a possible stay away order violation. Responding officers spoke with the victim who reported that she observed her neighbor’s vehicle double parked in front of her drive way and confronted the suspect who yelled obscenities at her. The victim also stated that she had a current retraining order against her neighbor. Officers observed from provided photos that the suspect had the option of parking his vehicle in an empty space on the other side of his home or to have choose to double park in front of his own home. Officers made an attempt to contact the suspect but he was not home.

Battery

Judah St & La Playa St
Officers responded to a report regarding battery of a S.F. Muni bus driver. Responding officers spoke with the victim, a MUNI driver, who reported that he was at the end of his route when he proceeded to the back of the bus and approached the suspect who appeared to be sleeping. The victim told the suspect that they were at the end of the line but the suspect could remain on the bus for the return trip back downtown. The suspect stood up and pushed against the victim against his chest area and exited the vehicle. Officers searched the area for the suspect but were unsuccessful.  

 

Homicide w/ Gun

Lobos St & Caine Ave
Officers responded to a report regarding multiple people who had been shot. Responding officers arrived on scene and observed the suspect, who was unconscious but breathing, with blood pooling underneath his head. The injury appeared to have been self inflicted. A second person, who was unconscious and not breathing, was also observed with a gunshot wound to his head. Officers interviewed the witness to the incident and will continue investigations.
