Trespassing

100 Font Blvd
Officers responded to a report of trespasser. Responding officers spoke to the witness, who reported that he had located several suspects who had broken in to an apartment and were currently sleeping in it. Two of the suspects fled the apartment immediately after being discovered but a third was still at the location because he had left some items behind. The witness did not want to press charges, so the officers advised the suspects. 

Trespassing – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a trespasser. Responding officers spoke to the witness who stated that the suspect, who had a history of trespassing and had previously been advised not to return, was currently inside the business office. Officers located the suspect and after further investigation, cited him.

Burglary – Possession of Stolen Property – Cited

1600 Ocean Ave
Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. Responding officers arrived and were immediately notified by the witness of the suspect who was trying to flee. The witness reported that he observed the suspect taking merchandise and putting them directly into his jacket. The suspect then tried to exit the store afterwards. The suspect was detained by the officers and a search revealed multiple tools used to commit burglaries. After further investigation, the suspect was cited. 

Battery

Broad St & Plymouth Ave
Officers responded to a report of a battery. Responding officers spoke to the victim who reported that he was waiting for the MUNI. When it arrived, the suspect pushed the victim out of the way and boarded first. The victim boarded the MUNI LRV and attempted to take the suspect’s picture. However, the suspect threatened to take the victim’s phone before exiting the LRV. 

Assault on Police

Montana St & Capitol Ave
San Mateo County police, which includes CHP and Daly City Police, were in the area regarding stolen vehicle. During their course of their investigation, the officers attempted to stop a suspect in a stolen vehicle. However, the suspect refused to stop and instead drove towards the CHP officer and hitting the officer with his vehicle. Shots were fired, which struck the suspect.
