Vehicle Violation – Suspended Driver’s License – Cited

19th Ave & Sloat Blvd
Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle with expired registration tabs. A computer check on the vehicle confirmed that the vehicle had been expired since April. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that his license had also been suspended. The driver was unable provide proof of insurance. The driver was cited.

Warrant Arrest – Arrested

00 West Portal Ave
Officers detained a suspect who matched the description of a shoplifter, given by the witness. The witness did not want to press charges but a computer check revealed that the suspect had two active warrants. The suspect was arrested.

Vehicle Violation – No Driver’s License Issued – Cited

19th Ave & Sloat Blvd
Officers were monitoring traffic when they observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Officers used LIDAR which determined that the driver was traveling at 56 MPH in a 30 MPH zone. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that she did not have a license issued to her. The driver was cited.

Battery

2000 19th Ave
Officers responded to an elder care rehabilitation center. Responding officers spoke to the victim, who reported that the suspect hit him behind his head while he was eating lunch. The suspect responded that he hit the victim because the victim threatened him with a plastic knife. The victim did not request any further action to be taken at this time. 

Battery

100 Vasquez Ave
Officers responded to a report of a battery. Responding officers spoke to the victim who reported that she observed the suspect and another person eating in a vehicle with a large amount of trash on the ground, around the vehicle. Because the victim often found garbage in the area from an unknown person, she approached the driver and asked the occupants to clean up their trash that was dropped on the street. The suspect angrily called her names and responded that she could park where she wanted before pulling the victim’s head into the car. Afterwards, the suspect left the location.
