For the past 16 years, the members of Operation Dream and the SFPD have conducted a Christmas toy drive for the children of San Francisco. Included in this toy drive are the children of public housing, low income neighborhoods, children in hospitals, and families in need. Last year, San Francisco Police officers collected and distributed over 20,000 toys to the children of San Francisco. For many of these children, this will be the only Christmas gift they receive. Please help by donating a toy. You can drop off a toy at the front desk at Taraval Station located at 2345-24th Avenue. These toys will be distributed throughout the City, but some will be given to the children that reside in the Taraval Police District. Taraval Officers and the OMI Family Resource Center will be giving toys away to neighborhood children.
