Battery

00 Westgate Dr
Officers responded to a report regarding a battery incident. The victim reported that he told the suspect that he was going to feed his dog when the suspect became angry and punched the victim in the face. The suspect then went into the victim’s room and threw his clothing out into the hallway. The suspect responded that she did not physically touch the victim but wanted the victim out of the house. Officers advised the suspect that the victim was protected by tenant rights and that she can not legally touch the victim’s property without permission.

Taraval St & 19th Ave
Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle execute an illegal, left turn. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. When questioned for her license, the driver only provided a photo ID and stated that she did not have a valid driver’s license. A record check revealed that the driver had her license suspended. The driver was cited.

Randolph St & Orizaba Ave
Officers were on patrol and observed the suspect riding a bicycle without lights or reflective equipment.  Officers detained the suspect and observed that the suspect quickly stuck his hands back into his pockets, which was accompanied by the rattling sounds of a spray can. Further observation revealed that the suspect’s hands and clothes showed remnants of fresh paint. Officers determined that the suspect had been spraying graffiti and located the evidence a short distance away. The suspect was cited.

Officers responded to a report of someone loudly screaming, inside a parked van. Responding officers located the van and made contact with the occupant of the van. A computer check on the occupant revealed that he had a warrant for his arrest and was arrested.

Shoplifting – Cited

1800 Ocean Ave
Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. Responding officers spoke to the witness, who reported that he observed that the suspect was acting suspiciously and select multiple items before putting them into his bag. Afterwards, the suspect walked out of the store without paying for the items. The witness detained the suspect without incident. After further investigation, the suspect was cited. 

Battery – Warrant Arrest – Arrested

19th Ave & Holloway Ave
Officers responded to a report of a couple shoving at each other while at a bus stop. A witness reported that they observed the victim and suspect in a loud argument before seeing the suspect pick up something and use it to the hit the victim before pushing him. After questioning, the victim maintained that nothing happened while the suspect admitted to arguing and that she may have grabbed on to the victim. A computer check on both parties revealed that the victim had a warrant for his arrest. Both parties were arrested.

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. Responding officers spoke to the witness, who reported that the suspect was observed placing multiple items of merchandise, worth over $1000.00, into a Macy’s bag and walk out of the store without paying. The witness detained the suspect without incident. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

Robbery – Vandalism – Battery – Cited

200 Winston Dr
Officers responded to a report of a suspect throwing items around. Responding officers spoke to the witness, who reported that three suspects entered the store and started putting multiple items of merchandise into an empty bag that was placed inside a stroller. The witness attempted to stop the suspects and retain the merchandise by grabbing at the bag.  The male suspect angrily responded by walking back into the store and threw a chair at one of the store’s glass cases before all three suspects fled. 

Officers located two of the suspects and attempted to detain them. One suspect refused to cooperate and verbally abuse the officers while slapping them. Once detained, the witness confirmed that they were involved in the incident but stated that the second female did not steal anything.  The suspect was identified and cited.
