Battery

00 Westgate Dr
Officers responded to a battery report. Responding officers spoke to the victim who reported that he told the suspect that he was going to feed is dog when the suspect became upset and punched the victim in the face. The victim then reported that the suspect went into the victim’s room and threw his clothing out into the hallway. The suspect responded that she did not physically touch the victim but she did want the victim out of the house. The suspect was advised of tenant rights and that she could not legally touch the victim’s property without his permission.

Taraval St & 19th Ave
Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle execute an illegal left turn and conducted a traffic stop. The driver provided a photo ID but stated that she did not have a valid driver’s license. A records check revealed that the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was cited.

Graffiti – Traffic Violation – Cited

Randolph St & Orizaba Ave
Officers observed the suspect riding a bicycle without lights on or any reflective equipment and detained the suspect. The suspect immediately placed his hands into his pockets, which produced a rattling sound. Further investigation revealed that the suspect’s hands and clothes had remnants of fresh paint and a local searched produced evidence of newly sprayed graffiti in the same color as the suspect’s can of spray paint. The suspect was cited.

Officers responded to a report of someone screaming inside a parked van. Officers located and made contact with the occupant of the van. A computer check on the occupant revealed that he had a warrant for his arrest.  The occupant was arrested.

Shoplifting – Cited

1800 Ocean Ave
Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. Responding officers spoke to the witness, who reported that the suspect was observed selecting multiple items of merchandise and placing them into his bag before walking out of the store without paying. The witness detained the suspect without incident. After further investigation, the suspect was cited. 

Battery – Warrant Arrest – Arrested

19th Ave & Holloway Ave

Officers responded to a report of a couple shoving at each other. Responding officers located the couple and spoke to the witness, who reported that he observed the victim and suspect engaged in a loud argument. The witness then observed the suspect pick up something and used it to hit the victim and push him. The victim responded that nothing had happened but the suspect admitted to an argument which upset her enough to have possibly caused her to grab at on to the victim. A computer check on both parties revealed that the victim had a warrant for his arrest. Bothe parties were arrested.

Burglary – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. Responding officer spoke to the witness, who reported that he observed the suspect select multiple items of merchandise estimated at over $1000.00 and placing them into a reusable Macy’s bag. The suspect then walked out of the store without paying but was detained without incident. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested. 

Robbery – Vandalism – Battery – Cited

200 Winston Dr
Officers responded to a suspect throwing items around inside a store. Responding officers spoke to the witness who reported that three suspects entered the store and started putting multiple items of merchandise into an empty bag and also into a stroller. The witness attempted to grab the bag with the merchandise and stop the suspects but ultimately ripped the bag. This caused the male suspect to angrily grab a chair from the store and throw it against a glass case before all three suspects fled the scene. 

Officers searched and located two of the suspects and attempted to detain them. One suspect was uncooperative and verbally abused the officers and slapped them. After successfully handcuffing the suspects, they were identified as both being involved in the incident by the witness. However, the witness noted that the second suspect did not steal anything. The suspect was later identified and cited.
