Driving under the Influence of Alcohol and Drugs – Suspended Driver’s License – Arrested

10th Ave & Quintara St
Officers responded to a report of someone driving erratically. Responding officers spoke with the witness who reported that he was following the suspect when the suspect drove into a cul-de-sac, got out of the car and then stumbled a few feet away from the vehicle before getting back into the vehicle and driving into a second cul-de-sac.

The officers conducted a traffic stop but the suspect was slow to respond and it took approximately two minutes of constant instructions before the suspect turned off and stepped out of his vehicle. Upon questioning, the officers noticed that the suspect smelled strongly of alcoholic beverages. A computer check revealed that the driver had a suspended license. After failing several sobriety tests, the suspect was arrested.

Robbery – Assault – Delaying Officers Duties – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of an assault. Responding officers spoke with the victim who reported that he was standing on a corner and smoking a cigarette when approximately five males, the suspects, approached him. One of the suspects asked a question but the victim did not hear what he said. Suddenly, the suspects punched the victim multiple times before leaving the area with the victim’s beanie hat.  A witness also stated that he observed the suspects punching the victim and stepped into to help but was also attacked.

Officers searched and located the suspects and three of the group were positively identified by the victim and witnessThe suspects were arrested.

Assault

Officers responded to a report of an assault. The victim reported that they were driving when the suspect cut him off and he honked at the suspect. The suspect stopped their truck and the driver got out and started yelling at the victim. The victim attempted to drive around the suspect, but the suspect punched the victim. The victim drove off to approximately 20 feet away and the victim’s wife stepped out of the vehicle to take photos of the suspect’s truck. The suspect’s passenger exited the truck and started pulling on the wife’s hair and kicking at her before both suspects fled.

Officers observed a suspect unlawfully crossing the street and detained the suspect. A computer check revealed that the suspect was on probation with a search condition. The suspect was searched and cited.

Shoplifting

200 West Portal Ave
Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. Responding officers spoke to the witness, who reported that three suspects were observed stealing multiple items of merchandise by placing them into their bag before quickly exiting the store. Officers searched and located all three suspects and retrieved the stolen items, which were thrown into a dumpster by the suspects. The store manager declined to press charges against the suspects, who were juveniles. The suspects were released to their guardians. 

Assault – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of an assault. The caller reported that she received a text from the victim informing her that the victim had been hit over the head and was bleeding. Responding officers spoke to the victim who reported that she and the suspect were involved in an argument about her wedding ring when the suspect angrily poured water over her head and then struck her head with the container. The suspect was uncooperative and responded that he was fell asleep after drinking earlier and denied any knowledge of the incident. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
