Arson

Officers were responded to a call about a fire. Responding officers arrived and discovered a burning garbage can had spread to a nearby discarded Christmas tree and to a vehicle.  Officers were able partially put out the fire before the arrival of SFFD. 

Embezzlement – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a theft by a store employee. The witness, a loss prevention employee, reported that they observed the suspect select several items of clothing and entered the fitting room. However, the suspect then exited the fitting room empty handed. The witness searched the fitting room directly afterwards and did not locate the missing items. After questioning, the suspect admitted to the theft. The suspect was cited.

Officers responded to a report of theft. The witness reported that he observed the suspect walk into the store and take a package containing a cell phone case, swap the new case with his old cell phone case and placed his old case into the packaging. The suspect then attempted exited the store with the new case on his phone while leaving the old case and package back in the store. The suspect was detained outside the store and after further investigation, the suspect was later cited.

Officers responded to a report of theft. The witness observed the suspect walk into the store and put approximately $400 worth of merchandise into a bag before attempting to walk out of the store. The witness detained the suspect and after further investigation, the suspect was cited.

Assault

200 Broad St
Officers responded to a report of an assault. The victim reported that her brother and come over to the house and an argument ensued. As the argument escalated, the suspect grabbed the victim by her neck and threw her onto the floor causing her to slam her head. The suspect then fled the location. 

Attempted Robbery – Assault – Arrested

1800 Irving St
Officers responded to a report of an assault. Responding officers arrived and located the victim on the ground. The victim stated that the suspect had wanted money to buy beer but was refused. The suspect then hit the victim. A witness stated that the suspect had initially asked for some water and left but after ten minutes, the victim ran into the store with the suspect chasing after him and hitting him with a bottle of beer. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
