Battery
Portola Dr & Claremont Blvd

The victim contacted officers to report a sexual battery incident at Taraval Police Station. The victim stated that she was not injured but the suspect suddenly appeared behind her and grabbed her buttocks. The victim screamed at the suspect and the suspect fled the scene. 

Shoplifting – Cited
3200 20th Ave
7:19 pm
Officers responded to a shoplifting incident. The witness, a loss prevention employee, stated that the suspect was observed looking at the items on a display shelf before placing store merchandise into a shopping bag. The suspect then proceeded to walk past multiple employees and exited the store without paying for the items. The witness made contact with the suspect and escorted him back into store. Responding officers investigated the incident and cited the suspect.

Driving with Suspended License – Cited
Ocean Ave & Miramar Ave
6:00 pm
Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle turn without using a turn signal. Officers performed a traffic stop on the vehicle and conducted a computer check on the driver which revealed that the driver was driving with a suspended license. The driver was cited.

Violation of Stay Away Order
200 Minerva St

The victim entered Taraval Police Station to report her neighbor’s violation of a restraining order in two separate incidents. The first occurred when she was backing out of her garage and the suspect was observed making a rude gesture directly at her. In a separate occurrence, the suspect stood in front of the victim’s home and swore at her. Both incidents were documented after the restraining order was verified. 

Battery
2200 Lincoln Way

The victim entered Taraval Police Station to report and document a battery that occurred at his residence. The victim stated that there was a past history of parking issues between himself and his neighbor. In this  incident, the neighbor had blocked the victim’s driveway causing the victim to temporarily park on the sidewalk to unload his groceries. The neighbor then knocked on the victim’s door and lunged at the victim while attempting to punch him. 

Warrant Arrest – Arrested
200 Thrift St
3:53 am
Officers responded to a report regarding a loud verbal argument between two parties, with one party throwing knives at the other. Responding officers attempted to speak with both parties but the first party refused to cooperate. The second party, however, stated that he was attacked by the first party who hit him with directly with objects and objects that were thrown at him. The second party believes the attack was unprovoked but did not want to press charges. However, after further investigation, a records check revealed that the second party had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. The second party was arrested.
