Residential Burglary, Forcible Entry

A contractor left the home that he was working on. When he returned his belongings were missing. An officer determined that the suspect entered through the side door from the backyard.

A man returned to his locked storage and discovered his bicycle was missing. The storage door was open and the lock was on the floor. He did not give anybody permission to be in the storage locker.

Hot Prowl Burglary/ Robbery with Force

Officers responded to a burglary in progress at the above location. A man was washing out a garage bin and walked back into the garage, leaving the door opened. Three suspects entered the garage and grabbed him from behind. They took him into the laundry room and began searching through his pockets. The suspects took his house keys and tried to open other doors in the residence. But they returned after they could not figure which one led to the other rooms. One of the suspects punched him in the lower ribs, before punching him in the left side of his face. One suspect kicked a door open and began searching for valuable items. All three suspects fled through the garage and left in an unknown direction. The suspects stole a cell phone, wallet and keys.

An unknown suspect exited his vehicle and keyed a woman’s rental vehicle.
Suspect 1: Age 35-40,unknown male, brown hair, brown eyes 6’0”, 180 lbs.

Residential Burglary – Forced Entry

An officer responded to the scene of a residential burglary. Upon arriving at the scene the officer was met by a man who stated that his garage was broken into earlier in the day. In the morning the man went to check the garage door and discovered that an unknown suspect broke the lock on the garage door and stole items from inside the garage.

An officer responded to the scene of a residential burglary. Upon arriving at the scene the officer was met by a man who stated that he heard noises in the backyard but thought nothing of it. When the man went downstairs later on in the afternoon he discovered that his garage door was open and items were missing from his garage. The man went to check his home security video and saw an unknown suspect enter his garage when he heard noises. The man believes he left his garage door unlocked.

Aggravated Assault with Force – Attempted Robbery In Public Place with Force

A woman was in the parking lot of a shopping complex when she witnessed a vehicle strike another vehicle. The woman tried to do the right thing an attempt to document the suspect vehicle by taking a picture of it. While the woman was attempting to photograph the vehicle an unknown female grabbed the woman’s hair and pulled it, while a second unknown female suspect bit the woman’s hand and they attempted to grab the woman’s cell phone. After fighting with the two female suspects the woman was able to get her phone back and the suspects fled in an unknown direction.
Suspect 1: Hispanic Female , 5’6”, 130 lbs, between the ages of 20 – 25 years old, brown hair, brown eyes, LSW: Unknown colored jacket, dark jeans
Suspect 2: Hispanic Female, 5’8”, 135 lbs, between the ages of 20 – 25 years old, black hair, brown eyes, LSW: Unknown clothes

Officers in full police uniform and driving a marked police vehicle responded to the scene regarding a theft. Upon their arrival the officers were met by a man who stated that someone stole his bicycle. The man last saw his bicycle locked an attached to a rail in front of his third floor apartment door. When the man left his apartment in the morning he discovered that the locked used to secure his bicycle had been cut off and his bicycle was stolen.

Broken Window/Threats – Arrest

Two uniformed officers were dispatched to investigate a broken window. Upon arrival, the officers met with the two residents who stated they heard glass breaking from one of their bedrooms on the second floor. The glass window was broken. The man was located in the neighbor’s tree. The man claimed that his home was on fire and he broke his neighbor’s window attempting to gain access. The man threatened the residents. The man was subsequently arrested for threatening the residents.

Uniform patrol officers responded to investigate an assault. When the officers arrived, they met the reporting party/victim. The officers noticed that the victim had injuries and requested an ambulance. The victim at this point does not recall the exact details of this incident. However, the victim told the officers that he was drinking at the bar and had an argument over a pool table with an unknown suspect.
Suspect: Black Male, 5’10”, 170 lbs, between the ages of 20 – 25 years old, black hair, LSW: short black hair, grey jacket with black sleeves, and dark blue pants

Tresspassing/Battery – Arrest

2100 48th Avenue

Two officers were on uniformed patrol when they were dispatched to an altercation between tenants. Upon arrival, the officer met with a woman. The woman stated that a man was knocking on her door and she did not respond because she was on a phone call. The man then proceeded to the exterior door, which was unlocked, and went inside of her apartment without permission. The victim told him to leave but he refused. The victim then pushed the man and then the man grabbed her and pushed her against the wall and against her bed. The man just wanted to use the vacuum cleaner and that’s when the victim finally agreed to give it to him. Moments after, the man left and went back up to his upstairs unit without the vacuum cleaner. The man was arrested.

A lady came into the Taraval Station to report that her vehicle had been vandalized. She last seen her car on 11/30/2013 at noon, and noticed an unknown suspect had “keyed” her vehicle with a line on the passenger side. The victim had no suspect information and there were no cameras or any recording devices in the area.

Two officers arrived to a scene regarding a vandalism call involving a MUNI bus. The bus driver stated that an unknown male smashed the windshield of the bus with a skateboard. He stated that he arrived and parked in the bus zone to await his next scheduled departure time. He saw a man on the sidewalk next to the front of the bus. The man then asked the driver about the departure time. After telling him that he was not scheduled for another 7 minutes, the man became upset and began hitting the front windshield of the bus with his skateboard and then left on foot on 48th Avenue. Several officers searched the area for the suspect to no avail.

A woman came to Taraval Station to report a battery incident. Her roommate locked her door and went back home for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The smoke detector turned on in the room that was locked. There was not a way to turn it off. When the victim’s roommate returned, they began to argue. The suspect was intoxicated and punched the victim making contact with her left eye and left side of her nose.

A contractor returned to a residence that he was working on and noticed the door was forced open. Some of his belongings were missing and nobody was home.

Theft – False Personation to Receive Money

A woman came to Taraval Station to report that a package she was expecting had been stolen. The woman was waiting for a package that her mother sent her and had not yet received it. The woman went to the post office and they told the woman that the package was delivered and possibly left outside the front door. The woman contacted her mother and the mother stated that someone cashed the check. The unknown suspect had forged the woman’s name and endorsed the check to another person and changed the amount of the original check.

Driving with an Expired Driver’s License – Cited
19th Avenue & Eucalyptus
6:22 pm

An officer was driving behind a vehicle on 19th avenue and observed that the vehicles registration tab was expired. A computer query confirmed that the vehicle’s registration was expired. The officer effected a traffic stop and made contact with the driver and the driver gave the officer her passport. The officer ran a computer query on the woman’s passport and discovered that the woman had an expired license. The woman was cited for having expired vehicle registration and driving with an expired license.
