Officers responded to a report of a detained shoplifter. The witness, a loss prevention employee, reported that multiple employees observed the suspect peeling off security sensors off of approximately $456 worth of store merchandise before putting them into her purse. Responding officers investigated the situation and completed a computer check, despite the suspect giving incorrect information. The suspect was cited.
