Officers were conducting LIDAR enforcement and observed a vehicle traveling 50 mph in a 35 mph zone. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that he did not have a driver’s license. The driver was cited.
Trespassing – Battery – Arrested

700 Taraval St
Officers responded to a report of a large number of juveniles acting disruptive and attempting to steal merchandise. Responding officers arrived and observed approximately 10 to 15 juveniles standing at the front entrance of the store and met with the victim. The victim reported that the store had a policy to restrict the number of juveniles in the store due to a history of stolen merchandise in previous situations. The victim directed the officers to the suspect, who had led a group of juveniles into the store and continually refused to leave when requested to by the victim. The victim reported that the suspect had acted as the apparent leader and instructed the rest of the group to be loud and aggressive. The suspect then proceeded to get closer to the victim and spat at the victim while yelling at her. The suspect also threatened to punch the victim. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested and taken to the juvenile justice center.

Officers were on patrol and observed a vehicle failing to make an attempt to stop at a posted stop sign. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that his license had been suspended. The driver was cited.
Shoplifting – Probation Violation – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. The witness, a loss prevention officer, reported that the suspect was observed walking into the store and taking a shopping bag from an empty register before filling it up with multiple items of store merchandise. The suspect then attempted to immediately exit the store but was detained, without incident, by store security. Responding officers conducted a computer check on the suspect, which revealed that the suspect was on probation for prior shoplifting incidents. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim reported that he and the suspect were drinking earlier when they got into an argument. The argument escalated and the suspect slapped the victim before leaving the location. Responding officers searched for the suspect but were unsuccessful.
