Theft – Cited

100 Vernon St
Officers responded to a report regarding a theft. The victim reported that the suspect, her son, entered her room and took $400 from her wallet. The victim then heard her son run downstairs and observed him giving the currency to someone who was outside. After further investigation, the suspect was cited.

Dog Bite – Cited

1400 Portola Dr
Officers responded to a report regarding a dog bite incident. The victim reported that he was walking on the sidewalk when a white dog suddenly bit him on the knee and pulled at his pants. The victim attempted to make contact with the dog’s owner at their house but was unsuccessful. Responding officers followed up later in the day and made contact with the owner. The owner was cited.

Officers responded to a report regarding an argument between tenants. The victim reported that an argument ensued after he unplugged the suspect’s electrical appliance. The suspect responded by angrily shoving at the victim. Responding officers investigated the incident and cited the suspect.

Domestic Violence

28th Ave & Lincoln Way
Officers responded to a report regarding domestic violence. The victim reported that she and the suspect had engaged in a verbal argument when it escalated. The victim stated that the suspect pulled at her hair and covered her mouth when she attempted to scream. The victim also stated that the suspect drew a knife and threatened to kill her. A computer check revealed a restraining order against the suspect which restricted him from contacting the victim. The suspect was arrested.

Officers were dispatched to investigate a restraining order violation. The victim reported that despite a restraining order, her neighbor was observed walking up and down her stairs. The victim signed a citizen’s arrest against the suspect.

Assault

Judah St & 46th Ave
Officers were dispatched to a call regarding a subject chasing someone with a knife. The victims, 3 juveniles, reported that they were throwing candy into the air and attempting to catch them in their mouths when one accidentally hit the suspect’s shoulder. The victims stated that they observed the suspect reaching for what appeared to be a knife and all of them ran away immediately. Responding officers located camera footage of the suspect following the victims and will continue to investigate the incident.
