Burglary – Arrested

Officers responded to a report regarding a burglary incident. The victim, who was asleep in his room, was woken up by the sound of the suspect entering his room. The victim reported that the suspect then climbed out through the kitchen window and out into the backyard before fleeing towards Stern Grove. Responding officers successfully located and arrested the suspect inside the park. The kitchen window was determined to have been the suspect’s point of entry.
Shoplifting – Arrested

Officers responded to a report regarding a fight inside a department store. The witness, a store employee, reported that the suspect was observed entering the store with an unidentified female. The suspect was overheard stating to the female that he was going to steal merchandise. The suspect then removed an item off of a merchandise rack and conceal it inside his jacket before immediately exiting the store without paying for the item. The witness made contact with the suspect, who was uncooperative and attempted to fight with the witness. Eventually, the suspect was successfully detained with the help of several other store employees who arrived to help the witness. Responding officers investigated the situation and after further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

The victim entered Taraval Station to report that the suspect, her ex-boyfriend, had called her multiple times from a blocked number and threatened her over the past two days. The victim stated that she had a pending restraining order against the suspect that had yet to be served.
Violation of Restraining Order

Officers responded to a report regarding a restraining order violation. The victim reported that she believed that her grandson, the suspect, had attempted to access her garage the previous night, despite a restraining order that was filed against the suspect. While speaking with the officers, the suspect called the victim. The victim requested that the officers speak to the suspect, which caused him to become agitated and angry when the officers stated that he was in violation of the restraining order placed against him. Officers then contacted Adult Protective Services who confirmed the restraining order was current and that it was also permanent.
Battery

Officers responded to a report regarding a battery. Responding officers met with the victim, who was holding an ice pack to the left side of her face. The victim reported that she was in a store when the suspect suddenly entered and confronted her about an online feud between her and the suspect. The victim stated that the suspect punched her three times in the face. Officers made contact the store owner for surveillance footage of the incident for further investigation.
