Vehicle Arson

2600 San Jose Ave
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle fire. Responding officers met with SFFD, who was already on scene and extinguishing the fire.  The arson unit of the SFFD will investigate the incident.

Shoplifting – Warrant Arrest – Arrested

1800 Ocean Ave
Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter. The witness reported that the suspect was observed stealing numerous non prescription medications and placing them into his jacket before exiting the store. The suspect was detained by store security without incident. Responding officers conducted a computer check on the suspect which revealed a warrant for shoplifting out of Oakland. The suspect was arrested.

Kidnapping – Arrested

Officers responded to a report of an attempted kidnapping. The victim reported that she was on her way home from school when the suspect exited his vehicle and approached her. The suspect threatened to harm the victim if she did not get into his vehicle and physically tried to force her into it when she refused. A witness heard the victim screaming and helped the victim escape the suspect but the suspect drove away immediately afterwards. Responding officers investigated the incident and obtained a partial license place which helped with the search and location of the vehicle. After further investigation, the suspect was located and later arrested.
