Robbery

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifting incident. The victim, a store employee, reported that the wheel bound suspect selected several items of merchandise and immediately leave the store without paying. The victim attempted to detain the suspect but the suspect sprang up from the wheelchair and kicked the victim. The suspect then dragged the wheelchair down a flight of stairs before sitting back in it and using it to flee.

In a previous incident which was reported on Feb 5th, 2017, the victim stated that he had slowly driven around a child who had just stepped on to the street when he was confronted by a sudden banging on his vehicle by the suspect. The suspect approached the victim while lifting up his shirt and taking out a firearm. However, the suspect’s female acquaintance stopped the suspect and they both left the scene.  After further investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect and a search warrant was obtained to search his residence. The search revealed the hand gun and the suspect was arrested.

Officers responded to a report of a victim following a suspect who had just stolen from a vehicle. The victim reported that he was in his house when his wife observed the suspect breaking into their vehicle. The victim exited the house and saw that the suspect was inside his vehicle and taking several phone charging cables before walking away. Shortly after, the suspect threw the cables on to the ground while continuing to walk away. Responding officers located the suspect and detained him. After further investigation, the suspect was cited.

Officers were conducting LIDAR speed enforcement when they observed a vehicle traveling 65 mph in a 35 mph zone. The officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that the driver was never issued a license. The driver was cited.

Theft from a Vehicle – Brandishing – Cited

Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity. The victim reported that the suspect had attempted to steal a bag from his work vehicle. When the victim confronted the suspect, the suspect brandished a knife at the victim. Responding officers located and detained the suspect, who was still in possession of the knife. After further investigation, the suspect was cited.

Officers responded to a report of battery. The victim reported that a group of juveniles were causing a disturbance and were told to leave the store. However, while they were leaving, one of the suspects struck the victim with a skateboard before fleeing the scene.
