Shoplifting – Possession Burglary Tools – Controlled Substance – Cited

Officers responded to a report of a juvenile shoplifter currently in custody. The witness reported that the suspect was observed entering the store with a large gym bag. The suspect selected numerous items of clothing before entering a changing room with them. When the suspect exited the changing room, however, he did not have any merchandise with him. The witness checked the changing room and discovered that the items left in the room did not match the amount that the suspect had first taken in with him. The witness detained the suspect outside the store. A search of the suspect revealed the missing items, a tool used to defeat the store’s security sensors and illegal drugs on the suspect. The suspect’s guardian was called and the suspect was cited.

Sergeants were on patrol when they were flagged down regarding a shoplifting incident. The witness told the officers that she observed the suspect conceal numerous items into a shopping bag. The suspect then went to purchase a small item and walked out of the store without paying for any of the other items. The witness attempted to detain the suspect but was unsuccessful. However, the two sergeants that were nearby were notified and the suspect was detained without incident. After further investigation, the suspect was later cited.

Officers responded to a fight. Party 1 stated the officers that he had came over to pick up his cousin. When he arrived, party 2 was also present. Party 1 said that he didn’t know Party 2 was going to be there and he had a stay away order. Party 1 said that he and Party 2 started arguing and Party 2 threw a bucket of white paint at his vehicle. After further investigation, it was determined that Party 2 was currently staying there and both parties were arrested.

Officers were on patrol and observed a golf cart driving on the road while honking its horn continually. Officers conducted a traffic stop and a computer check on the driver revealed that he did not have a driver’s license. The driver told the officers that he was borrowing the golf cart from a friend. The officers contacted the golf club rental company and determined that the golf cart was stolen. However, the company did not want to press charges. The driver was cited.
